Sundance Trails
Whether you’re a beginner or expert hiker, experience more than 10 miles of scenic trails at Sundance. Take your entire family out to enjoy nature and create happy memories. Take the lift ride up the mountain to be dropped off by the trailheads or hike on trails located near the base of the resort. If you are new to hiking, or want to learn more, take a guide. Here are some of our favorite Sundance trails: Stewart Falls One of the most popular hikes and great for families. It is located at the top of the lift on Ray’s Summit. The hike goes through the mountain forest and across a meadow to reach the impressive falls. Pack a picnic and enjoy the exquisite scenery! You'll pass a lot of families on your way to Stewart Falls, its a good challenge for young families! It is a beginner/intermediate hike that takes approximately 2 hours. Black Forest Loop Visitors take the lift to Ray’s Summit with the trail taking them through forests back down to base by the Sundance summer theater. This is a great hike for beginners and families! Arrowhead Summit Trail This is a great hike if you are adventurous, definitely a challenge to summit and isn't recommend for young families. The hike takes you up to Arrowhead Summit and offers breathtaking views of Wasatch, Utah Valley, and Heber Valley. There are a few hikes located off-property that are near Sundance. This includes the Ridge Trail, which is a 4-hour beginner/intermediate hike, and the Great Western Trail, a 3-hour intermediate hike.
